White House brushes off call for military response to cartel violence

The White House Following an attack in Mexico in which two Americans had been kidnapped and killed by Mexican gunmen, two Americans have resisted calls for a military intervention to stop cartel violence.

Press secretary asked Biden if he would think about using U.S. forces to stop cartels, or support labeling cartels terrorist groups. Karine Jean-Pierre demurred.

“I’m just not going to get into the military and how it’s being used,” Sie said.

Jean-Pierre stated that border officials had confiscated historic amounts of fentanyl in response to the President’s security crackdown. This was in an effort to stop the drug from flooding the country, killing record number of Americans.
