White House rips Fox News’s Tucker Carlson for Jan. 6 security footage special
The White House Captured and released Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson House Speaker gave him security footage taken at the Capitol for his contention. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) shattered claims regarding the Jan. 6th attack.
“Anybody who watched that video would strongly disagree,” press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre According to reporters, Tuesday. “We’d hope that keeping the Capitol and Congress safe and secure remains congressional leaders’ No. 1 goal, and that should be our focus.”
Jean-Pierre did not criticize McCarthy for giving over 41,000 hours surveillance footage to Carlson prior to what are expected to be challenging negotiations about the debt ceiling.
Many Republicans also criticize Carlson. They range from Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell McConnell (R-KY), to Senator Kevin Cramer, (R-ND), although McConnell was also reticent in criticizing McCarthy.
“It was a mistake, in my view, for Fox News to depict this in a way that’s completely at variance with what our chief law enforcement official here at the Capitol thinks,” According to the Kentucky senator, reporters were informed.
“I think that breaking through glass windows and doors to get into the United States Capitol against the orders of police is a crime,” Cramer continues
