Schumer offers to go on Tucker Carlson’s show amid Jan. 6 row if he meets one condition

Carlson broadcast Monday’s segment that featured snippets of Jan. 6, security footage which he received from Kevin McCarthy, the Republican House Speaker (R-CA). Carlson was criticized by a chorus of members from both parties of Congress for his segment. They claimed that he downplayed the riot, and showed footage without context. McCarthy claims that he did not regret making the decision and believes he was doing it for transparency.

Carlson prodded McCarthy to let go of his gavel during McCarthy’s awkward grovel. Soon-to-be speaker eventually agreed.
