Schumer: To Protect Democracy, I Need The One Network I Don’t Control To Stop Airing Raw Footage Of Congress
Sen. Chuck Schumer, Democrat of California is asking Fox News’ owner to stop Tucker Carlson from releasing more footage from Jan. 6, 2021. This was the riot that took place at the U.S. Capitol. The video was hidden from the public by House Democrats for the past two years. Carlson’s crew reviewed over 40,000 hours worth of footage from the day. On Monday, Carlson aired previously unheard footage which contradicts many falsehoods propagated by corporate media and Democratic politicos.
Schumer told reporters on Tuesday that Rupert Murdoch was Fox News’ owner. “has a special obligation” Carlson was prohibited from showing more uncut footage starting Jan. 6 “because our democracy depends on it.”

This is a repeat of comments Schumer made earlier in day during temper tantrum in Senate. He accused Carlson’s Monday evening program being “unfair.” “one of the most shameful hours … ever seen on cable television” Murdoch was similarly urged to block the publication of any additional footage from Jan. 6.
These people are faking it big time

Why is censorship so important? Karine Jean-Pierre White House Press Secretary says Jan. 6 was supposedly “the worst attack on [American] democracy since the Civil War.” Do Americans not deserve the right to view as many footage of the day that America is so close to the end of democracy, as Democrats claim? Democrats don’t believe so. Carlson’s footage shows that the J6 story was overblown and in some cases completely false.
[READ: Tapes Show Ray Epps Lied To Congress About Whereabouts During Jan. 6 Protests]There were several clips in the Carlson footage released Monday night. showing Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick was found dead in the Capitol Complex. He had been walking about the area the day after the J6 riot. “after Democrats and the media claimed he was brutally murdered” Supporters of the former-President Donald Trump. The New York Times, for example, claimed in its original report on Sicknick’s death that he died — right there, big and bold in its headline — “From Injuries in Pro-Trump Rampage.”
The Federalist’s Tristan Justice revealed that the Democrats’ House selected committee was used to benefit them politically and also fuelled conspiracies regarding Sicknick’s murder.
Carlson released surveillance footage of Sicknick and clips that showed Capitol law enforcement providing VIP treatment Jacob Chansley (known as The Ambassador). “Q-Anon Shaman.” Separately, The Federalist reportedThis footage shows Chansley being led by Capitol Police officers. “to multiple entrances throughout the building,” Some clips appear to show officers inspecting “for unlocked doors.”
“They helped him. They acted as his tour guides,” Carlson said. “We counted at least nine officers who were within touching distance of unarmed Jacob Chansley. Not one of them tried to slow him down.”
