Lawsuit against DeSantis over abortion rights prosecutor fast-tracked by court

The U.S.Appeals Court judge granted an expedited review to suspending proceedings Florida Andrew Warren, the state attorney appealed in his federal case against Governor. Ron DeSantis (R-FL).

Warren appealed the Jan. 20, ruling of a federal Judge. barred him from reinstatement After several months of litigation, the governor was forced to resign. This decision was prompted by Warren’s public pledges to not follow certain anti-abortion laws.

The spokesperson of the ex-prosecutor stated that the appeal must be expedited. “the public needs resolution at the earliest possible opportunity of whether the governor illegally removed the duly elected prosecutor in the state’s third most populous city.”

Robert Hinkle, U.S. District Judge, found DeSantis had not violated Warren’s First Amendment rights when he suspended him. However, the judge stated that the court was unable to restore his position. DeSantis was asked by the court for a reversal of Warren’s suspension.
