Spy chief Haines takes page out of Biden’s book on ‘clear’ Taiwan defense from China

Haines responded that she would agree that deterrence would be stronger if U.S. enemies such as China knew that the U.S. would defend Taiwan militarily, when Haines was asked. “In this particular case, I think it is clear to the Chinese what our position is, based on the president’s comments.”
