Texas Lawmaker Proposes Bill Requiring Mayorkas to Fly Commercial Until Southern Border Is Secured
Rep. Monica De La Cruz (R.Texas), announced that legislation would prohibit Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, from using private jets to travel until he secures America’s southern border.
“Public service is a privilege,” De La Cruz told reporters during a March 10 Press briefingMayorkas said that he shouldn’t be eligible for the perks of the job if he’s not performing the duties.

“It’s real simple folks. If you fail to do your job at work, you just won’t last very long, and you certainly don’t get to fly in a private jet.”
Impeachment Proceedings
De La Cruz was questioned by reporters about the timeline of Republicans’ push for Mayorkas impeachment.
According to the lawmaker, she is focusing on legislation that will keep the country safe.
