Social Security update: Direct payment worth up to $4,555 to be sent to millions in four days

March’s second round for the Social Security Administration’s Retirement In four days, beneficiaries will receive payments in the amount of $4,555.

The Payments The second payment SSA recipients will receive in March is the one issued on March 15. Each round of payments is calculated based upon a 10-day block from the month in which the recipient was born. This payment round is for those born between the 11th to 20th of a given month. These payments are dependent on when the recipients started receiving benefits and their age at retirement. For those who have retired at 70, the maximum monthly payment is $4,555. Recipients who retire at 67 at the maximum will receive $3,627 and those who retire at 62 at the maximum will receive $2,572. According to The SSA.

The average age is currently Retirement Is 67. But workers can either take an early retirement at 62, or defer retirement until 70.

The March 8th round of SSA retirement payment payments was sent to recipients who were born between the 1st-10th of a given month. The final payment for March 22 will be sent to recipients who were born between March 21 and 31.
