University of Alabama basketball player Darius Miles indicted on murder charges

UNiversity of Alabama Following the murder trial of forward Darius Miles (21) Shooting A 23-year-old female died on Jan. 15, near campus.

Miles claims that he gave the weapon, which he says he did, to Michael Davis (20), who then used it to murder Jamea Harris (23), near Tuscaloosa in Alabama. Both Miles, and Davis were charged with capital murder. Miles is accused of “aiding and abetting” Davis, According to Fox News.

“While we are not surprised by the indictment based on the reality that a person accused of a crime is not allowed to present any evidence to a grand jury, we are nonetheless disappointed that the government presented this case to the grand jury as capital murder considering the evidence uncovered during our investigation and the obvious weaknesses in the government’s case brought to light during the preliminary hearing,” Mary Turner, Miles’s attorney.
