Former Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker To Senator Blackburn: Biden’s DOJ ‘A Two-Tiered System Of Justice’

Matt Whitaker, a former Acting Attorney General, told Sen. Marsha BLACKBURN (R-TN), this week about President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice. “two-tiered system of justice” In which conservatives often receive the short end.

Whitaker made the comments during a Blackburn podcast appearance “Unmuted” While the two talked about Attorney General Merrick Garland’s recent congressional hearing.

“Why hasn’t the Attorney General moved forward with these prosecutions of people that have committed domestic terrorism, have committed these fire bombings, are breaking federal law protesting outside of Justice’s homes?” Blackburn asked.

“It boils down to one priorities and second just prosecutorial will,” Whitaker spoke. “If they want to, they can prosecute anyone and everyone for crimes. But in these cases, you know, crisis pregnancy centers and the justice’s houses, you know, clear violations of federal law, this Justice department is just ignoring it. They’re not doing the will of the people. And, you know, to your point at the beginning, I think this is a two-tiered system of justice.”

“And one of the things I saw Attorney General Garland really not seem to comprehend is that what is happening, which is the, the people on the right, conservatives, Republicans seem to be singled out, uh, for extra prosecutorial attention,” He added. “And while folks on the left, uh, you know, get away with clear violations of federal law and there doesn’t seem to be any desire to bring them in and hold them accountable to the rule of law.”

TRANSCRIPT:

SEN. MARSHA BLACKBURN(R-TN): Attorney General Merrick Galrland has overseen the creation of two tiers within the Biden Justice department. This was made evident by the manner in which the Attorney General chose to answer certain questions, or to not say anything at all, during our hearing. However, we do have someone who is familiar with the Department of Justice and knows the answers to some of the questions. We are thrilled to have him. He is the former, ex-Acting Attorney General and host of Liberty and Justice. Matt Whitaker hosts it on iHeartRadio. I am delighted that you are joining us for ‘Unmuted.’

MATT WHITTAKER, FORMER ATTORNEY GENERAL: Senator, it’s great to be with your and, uh… I was so honored to receive the request and I immediately jumped onto it cause I’m big fan and, uh… I think what’s happening in the Senate is really amazing.

BLACKBURN : Thank you so much. Let’s move on to yesterday’s hearing. The Attorney General didn’t seem to have any answers regarding the picketing outside the justice houses, or the protests around pregnancy centers, and even some of those fire bombings at churches and pregnant pregnancy centers. So, why hasn’t the Attorney General started to prosecute people who have committed domestic terror, have committed these firebombings and are violating federal law by protesting outside Justice’s homes?

WHITAKER : That’s a very important point. I believe it was made by you and others yesterday. Uh…they did it in another context. They can also prosecute anyone for any crime if they wish. In these cases, however, they can prosecute anyone and everyone for, uh-, crimes. They are not following the will of the people. You know, it’s a two-tiered justice system. One thing that Attorney General Garland didn’t seem to understand was the why. It seems like the Republicans are being singled out for extra prosecutionorial attention. While people on the left can get away with clear violations federal law, there seems to not be any desire for them to be brought to justice and held accountable to the rule.

BLACKBURN: What do you think of the Attorney General’s answer to me? I tried to get down to him about why he hadn’t gone after Jane’s Revenge, which took credit for bombing the Hope Clement Clinic, a Nashville pregnancy center. He explained that these criminals were more difficult to find than peaceful protestors on the streets. What did you think of this?

WHITAKER (Uh, again) It boils down that he doesn’t want to know the truth about Jane’s Revenge. It is possible that it is a domestic terrorist organisation. This happened in places like Portland, Seattle, where the Department of Justice seems unwilling to oppose, uh?, political violence. And, and… and, you know, I understand the importance of the First Amendment, people’s rights, but we, as a society and self-governing people, have determined that there is a boundary and that crossing that line is a federal criminal offense. We have brought down violent biker groups, as you all know at the Department of Justice. These organizations have been identified, tracked down and then prosecuted over the years. In this case, James Revenge, which you brought up and are questioning, the Department of Justice does not want to not only bring these people to justice but also to end political violence. That’s the most frightening thing. Biden administration is known for favoring political violence. If they see that, as we are seeing with the Biden administration. They seem to be turning the other cheek and refusing to bring cases.

BLACKBURN – Yes, I agree. This is not only the case with political violence at all tiers, but we also see it in bias. I was struck by his comments regarding Hunter Biden. He said that he wasn’t interfering in the investigation of the Delaware Attorney General. How are we going to ever know the truth about Hunter Biden and James Biden, Biden Inc., and the president?

WHITAKER: Yeah. I was very attentive to that. As you all know, I have been an outspoken proponent of a blind Department of Justice. It holds everyone accountable, regardless of their political, uh., lineage, even the Bidens. That is why I believe US Attorney Weiss is in complete control. However, I was concerned that the AG wasn’t honest in a few areas. He will have, umm, you know, a lot to control this investigation unlike a special prosecutor. It’s in the command line up through the deputy attorney general. That is one concern. A second concern is that many of these offenses require, according to the US Attorney’s Manual and Department of Justice procurorial guidelines, some component. However, there is a lot main justice involvement in this probe. You could tell that he was lying about the places where other people are making decisions, as well as the US attorney in Delaware.

BLACKBURN: I believe that was of great concern to us. A few of our members pointed out some disparities in how people were addressed. Take a look at Mar-a-Lago’s rates, which have been reported by whistleblowers. And then, take a look at the documents of Biden. He didn’t want anybody to know about this. It appears, however, that the FBI was overruled by the main justice in saying that Mar-a-Lago should be raided. There were no answers.

WHITAKER : No, I, agree. You know what, you and I believe, uh. Especially in the Mar-a Lago case, there were less intense ways to do and obtain whatever they wanted. Obviously. Yes. Trump believed he was cooperating. His team was working to determine what was personal and what was presidential. You also pointed out, I believe, an important point that isn’t often highlighted. Joe Biden’s case is an example of this. The Department of Justice and the archives both knew that they had found the documents. They then conspired with the White House. That’s it. It’s a agreement between two or more people. It is a plot to ensure that this never sees the light of day.

BLACKBURN: I don’t believe we will ever find out how the media got that story three months later. After three months of silence and not saying anything, you can see that President Biden was doing a similar thing. I believe that whirly was a disservice for the American people. Although I am still not sure how these materials end up in your home or office, it is clear that they did in many cases. You know that that is a sign of an important role that I wish the Attorney General would play in advising us on how to protect America’s secrets. I didn’t find anything from him on that matter.

WHITAKER : It was two approaches, depending on who you were and on which side of the political spectrum you were. The second is justice. Tennesseans find this disturbing and worrying. You can find Matt Whitaker on Liberty and Justice on iHeartRadio and online at Matt Whitaker 46. That seems to be correct.

BLACKBURN: That’s right.
