Jimmy Kimmel, comedian and late-night talk host, will host the ceremony at 8pm ET. live performances Rihanna (“Lift Me Up” Starting at “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”), Sofia Carson and Diane Warren (“Applause” Starting at “Tell It Like a Woman”), and several others.

Jamie Lee Curtis, a first-time nominee (“Everything Everywhere All At Once”Brendan Fraser (“The Whale”) to frequent flyers like director James Cameron (“Avatar: The Way of Water”Many actors, producers, directors and others will be rewarded with little gold statuettes at the end of the evening’s celebrations. But the final prize of the night will go to the year’s Best Picture — and this year’s choices are all over the map.
