Report: US Agencies Made Duplicate Payments to Wuhan Lab Suspected of COVID Leak
Anthony Fauci, who is being investigated for downplaying the theory of lab leakage, comes under increased scrutiny
The National Institutes of Health, (NIH), and the U.S. Agency for International Development, (USAID), may have made duplicate payment totaling in excess of tens of million to Wuhan, China lab suspected of leaking COVID-19 virus. According CBS News
“What I’ve found so far is evidence that points to double billing, potential theft of government funds,” Diane Cutler, a former federal investigative hired by Republican Senator Roger Marshall (R. Kan.), to examine the spending records, said. “It is concerning, especially since it involves dangerous pathogens and risky research.”
Cutler reviewed more than 50,000 documents that referred to grants from the government to China for high-risk research before the pandemic. Marshall received the findings from USAID and launched an investigation after he discovered duplicate payments for travel, equipment, and salaries.
The report comes at a time when Anthony Fauci faces increased scrutiny regarding his conduct as director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. This subagency of NIH is also under fire. Financed Coronavirus research at Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Recent Reports Show Fauci reviewed and ordered a February 2020 paper to dispel the lab leak theory. Fauci referenced the paper, titled “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2,” During a White House press conference held on April 17, 2020. He was uncomfortably awkward with the authors.
Fauci called the four authors of this paper to discuss evidence that suggested China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology was the virus’s source. The paper, in which COVID was likely to have emerged from an animal-to human infection, was then reviewed by Fauci. New York Post reported.
The FBI and Energy Department both publicly stated that the coronavirus was likely to have originated in a Chinese lab.
Federal investigators in January pointed out the serious errors in research at Wuhan Lab that Fauci and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, both funded by the nonprofit EcoHealth Alliance, made.
Fauci was furious at Elon Musk’s call for his prosecution in the wake of a tweet by the CEO of Twitter, saying that his pronouns had been misunderstood. “Prosecute/Fauci.”
“There’s no response to that craziness,” Fauci Saturday “I wish I could figure out what the heck they’re talking about. I think they’re just going off the deep end.”
