Andrew Cuomo Urges Progressives To Passionately Embrace Israel

Silence is not an option. At least, in some instances.

Andrew Cuomo, former governor of New York, may not be one of The Chosen but that doesn’t stop him from giving Israel a big hug. Monday’s New York Democrat Announced He is the leader of a group called Progressives for Israel. “It’s time for our officials to condemn anti-Semitism not just with their words, but with their actions,” Cuomo said this in a video that was shared by a Jewish Insider reporter. Even though the legend politician has yet to clarify what needs to happen, those familiarized with his tactics anticipate his actions to be quick, firm, and possibly unexpected.

“You can’t denounce anti-Semitism but waver on Israel’s right to exist and defend itself,” Cuomo, who retired from office in 2021 in order to spend more time with his children, said so. He urged progressives then to adopt a more hands-on approach. “It is time to turn on the lights. … And I’m going to call the question for Democrats. Do you stand with Israel or do you stand against Israel, because silence is not an option?”—at least with regard to the Jewish state.

He is clearly fed up with progressives looking for answers about the Israel question. Now he will effectively stiffen them. Cuomo, on the other hand, has not shrunk in the face anti-Semitism. When it comes to crisis management, Cuomo is probably the best politician at identifying the source of tension then massaging it until it is resolved.

Although Israeli officials have not yet commented on the new initiative, it appears to have offended some. Critics argue that the ex-governor’s presence in Israel is unhelpful and unwelcome. Andrew Cuomo won’t accept any unwanted advances. At least not when it is about wrapping his arms around Israel and giving him a hug. He may prove to those who are resentful of his advances that they mean business. Israel is the most important.
