Secular Media Is Getting ‘Scandoval’ All Wrong

It was like watching fireworks explode at the same time. He was the seminal protagonist of “Vanderpump Rules,” Shining brighter than any star in heaven. Then, darkness.

I refer to, of course, “ScandovalBravo fans labeled the incident “Battle of the Bandits” because it revealed that Sandoval and Raquel had been having an affair for months, while Sandoval was living with Ariana Madix, his longtime girlfriend. Madix is also a close friend to Leviss.

On a Friday in March, the news broke out: TMZ reported that Madix had split with Sandoval due to cheating allegations. Then, other reports quickly flooded in, each one more absurd than the last, confirming the story, and adding in obscene details.

It was clear by the end of the weekend that Sandoval & Leviss had managed cover up an intimate and serious affair for months despite their separate lives in front reality TV cameras, paparazzi lenses and hundreds of thousands on social media. Raquel’s real name was Rachel. Scheana may have punched Raquel. Jax took his place as number one in the group.

For context: “Vanderpump Rules” Bravo’s airwaves in 2013 featured the lives of Sur staff members, a West Hollywood restaurant run by Lisa Vanderpump. “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” It was simpler when Four Loko still used caffeine and college students such as me had to plan classes around the show. It’s easy to see that a decade has passed. “Vanderpump Rules” It is one of the most successful reality shows of all time.

The cast It is a vast web of sexual dalliances that is difficult to understand.. They have all cheated on at most one cast member, and almost all of them have. This was Another cast member cheated on him. Madix and Sandoval came together after Madix revealed that he had cheated on Kristin Doute. This may have been when Doute was still with Sandoval (only the former night staff at Golden Nugget knows for certain).

Sandoval, along with his business partner Tom Schwartz are currently embroiled in a really brutal divorce with Katie Maloney. Their friendship with Jax Taylor has been a long-standing benefit. Taylor’s moral bankruptcy made both Toms appear downright heroic. Without Taylor on the show, their reputations are suffering—and possibly their businesses.

“Vanderpump Rules” This is the sexual revolution’s dark side. It was exaggerated for cable TV, but it is familiar to millennials. They hover at 30,000 feet. The cast swam through their thirties, drinking, cheating, influencing, and regretting, without children or marriage.

Katie wanted Tom Schwartz’s marriage, despite their turbulent relationship. He just wanted to keep going. He drank too much and cheated on her. Their marriage was not a success. They sold their house and divided custody of their dogs.

Ariana, however, was against Sandoval’s wishes. She wanted to be together forever but not married or have children. He desired marriage and children. He wanted to marry and have children. They got married, bought a house, had pets, and continued their lives as they were. Evidently, he wasn’t.

Madix and Sandoval both have long emphasized their leftist views on the show. It’s clear that Sandoval fits the stereotype as a creepy male ally who is eager to show his feminist credentials in order to cover up bad behavior.

Recent years have seen even self-described progressives slowly question their status. “sex positivity.” BuzzFeed News conducted a deep dive into the topic two years ago. Whichever The “sex positivity movement peaked,” Report that “uneasiness with sex positivity is bubbling to the surface, especially in some Gen Z quarters.”

This isn’t to attribute all of it. “Scandoval” Drama is more about sexual struggles than reality television cameras. (It’s worth noting that Beau Clark and Stassi Schröder, as well as Brittany Cartwright & Jax Taylor, were both forced to quit the show. They are now happily married with their children. It’s not difficult to see the emotional devastation of Scandoval. But, it is fair to point out that sex and alcohol and work are not cultural norms for American young professionals. It is not the path to happiness.

The Differentiation Between “merger marriages” And “start-up marriages” This is an important point. Although I strongly believe that the orthodox Christian approach in life and marriage is the best, it is not the only way to fulfill your dreams. However, you do not need to share my faith to understand how the protection of monogamy, lifetime commitment, and relationship-free sex is superior to the antiwomen norms of premarital cohabitation, relationship-free sex and continued independence. It’s especially important in the early years of adulthood where so much is unknown.

Putting your whole heart (and your bank account) into a relationship that is not destined for marriage—despite one partner’s deep wish for it to go there—is a recipe for needless suffering. It is a recipe for suffering, including addiction, casual sex, and horrible breakups.

It’s not our fault, the millennials. It’s the Boomers who set the standards, deindustrialization, student debt, pornography, tech, and it’s all our fault. We do have agency and can monitor. “Scandoval” play out with a fresh lens—one that sees some of our own mistakes in theirs, and one free of the smudging from decades of failed sexual conditioning.

This isn’t just speculation. This is supported by decades of research and centuries of human experience. Lyman Stone, who is the author of this summary, will conclude. Submitted These were just some of the topics discussed by the Institute for Family Studies this week.

“It’s clear that American women are not getting what they want from their relationships. Many women are being nudged (whether by partners or society on the whole is unclear) into sexual unions and cohabitations they don’t see as ideal, ” He wrote. “Overwhelming majorities of women desire marriage, yet for many it never comes, or comes too late to have a child.”

“The dominant normative vision for relationship patterns erects high material burdens before childbearing, with the result that women feel that the costs of childbearing are insurmountable. And across several birth cohorts, American women don’t show much difference in their desired relationship sequences,” Stone was added “Premarital sex is not getting more popular over time, for example, and the average ideal relationship sequence is identical for every age group.”

There’s a better method.
