Hallie Biden Took Big Check From Chinese Energy Company While She Was Dating Hunter

James Comer (Republican, Ky.), chairman of House Oversight Committee, disclosed the transaction to members in a memo, according to the Post. The committee is investigating whether Biden’s relatives were operating an influence-peddling operation without the president’s knowledge. Comer stated earlier this week that the probe into Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings could result in six to seven family members being ensnared.

According to the reports, the committee found the payment to Hallie Bideen while reviewing suspicious activity reports received this week by the Treasury Department. These reports indicate possible illegal transactions. Reports on Hunter and James Biden are said to be more than 150.

The transaction reportedly took place in March 2017, after a company called Chinese State Energy HK Limited—an affiliate of another Chinese energy company that Hunter Biden worked with—sent a $3 million wire transfer to a company owned by an associate of the Biden family. According to reports, more than $1 million was disbursed to members of the Biden family, including Hallie.

Hallie Biden (the widow of President Biden’s oldest son Beau) was in a romantic relationship at the time of the transaction. They began an affair when Hunter was still married to Kathleen. It continued until 2019. Hunter was accused of using his influence and proximity with his father to get lucrative positions on Burisma’s board, which is a Chinese energy company, as well as a Chinese private equity company.

On Wednesday, Comer stated to Fox News’ Laura Ingraham that he believes there is “probably six or seven Biden family members that were involved in various business schemes around the world.”

Biden’s family members include James, the president’s brother, and others who have been accused in other instances of using Biden’s positions to attract business.
