Air Force veteran lands $1 million prize in lottery scratch-off win

Air Force veteran Keim Akel won a $1million prize at a recent Florida lottery scratch off game.

After playing Florida’s 500X the Cash scratch-off, Akel, a retired electrical engineer aged 67, won the prize.

According to the Florida Lottery the Air Force veteran claimed the winnings at Tallahassee headquarters of the lottery. He wanted to receive the lump-sum amount of $820,000 as a one-time payment.

Akel claimed that he bought his winning ticket from a Publix grocery store near Navarre, Florida.

The 500X The cash scratch-off ticket costs $50, with a top prize up to $25 million. According to the lottery, there are only 1-4.50 chances of winning.
