WATCH: Reporter tells lame-duck Lightfoot to ‘get the hell out’ of Chicago
A Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot stripped a veteran reporter of his credentials. On Wednesday, she reprimanded the mayor for being a lame duck and said that he would not be returning to Chicago. “get the hell out of my city.”
William Kelly, a journalist who became famous for his criticism of Lightfoot’s reporting, stated at a meeting of the city council. “As somebody who was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, I never thought in my life that I would ever see the city of Chicago brought down so low as you have managed to bring it down. … Shame on you.”

Kelly attacked Lightfoot, accusing him of robbing his press credentials and destroying the city he called home. “loves.”

“I hope that you realize what damage you have done to the city. I hope that, after today’s city council meeting, you will pack your suitcase and get the hell out of my city,” He said.
