FBI offering $20,000 reward for another US citizen kidnapped in Mexico
For information leading to the rescue of a U.S. citizen kidnapped in Mexico over a month ago, the FBI is offering a $20,000 reward.
Los Angeles’ federal agency asked the public for help in finding Maria del Carmen (a 63-year old woman taken from her home at Pueblo Nuevo Colima in southwestern Mexico) on Thursday.

According to the Colima Attorney General, she is a dual citizen of Mexico and the United States. Colima is among six Mexican states that are on the U.S. State Department’s list. “Do Not Travel” List, the highest level of classification
Lopez was described as Hispanic, with brown eyes and blonde hair.
This request for assistance comes after four Americans were taken hostage by Mexican cartel members shortly after crossing from Brownsville, Texas to Matamoros (Tamaulipas).
The four Americans captured in Tamaulipas were discovered within days. However, more than 100,000 Mexicans and migrants are reported to be missing as of early 2022 according to the Mexican government.
The March 3 fatal kidnapping involved U.S citizens — Shaeed Woodard, Zindell Brown, LaTavia Washington McGee, and Eric Williams — reportedly traveling to Mexico for a tummy tuck procedure. The sign pointed towards the international bridge in background. This was a clue as to how close the attackers were to the border.

Attackers shot and crashed the vehicle of the group. The van crashed and the four passengers were taken from the vehicle by heavily armed narcos.
Woodard and Brown were both killed in Mexico. McGee, Williams and others were rescued and returned to the United States.
