International Arrest Warrant issued for Putin
The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to the International Criminal Court, Putin is alleged to have abducted children from Ukraine and transferred them to Russia. The ICC president stated in a video that a warrant has been issued by a judge, but the group does not have a police force. Therefore, an international community would be responsible for making arrests. The Russian foreign ministry denied the warrant and all allegations on Friday. It also stated that Russia doesn’t recognize the international criminal court.
Poland Sends Fighter Jets
Poland became the first NATO country that supplies the Ukrainian Army’s MiG-29 fighter aircrafts. After Ukraine’s repeated requests for Western fighter jet support, Andrejz Duda, the Polish president, announced Thursday that his country would send four MiG-29 fighter planes to President Volodymr Zilensky. It is not clear if other NATO countries will follow their lead.
El Salvador Crackdown Continues
El Salvador’s government has sent another 2,000 suspects to its huge new prison to hold gang members this week. Tim Pearce, Daily Wire’s reporter, joined Afternoon Update to bring you the latest news:
El Salvador’s president has asked for an extension of emergency measures that his administration has used to clamp down on gangs since about a decade. Some 65,000 suspects have been detained over the span of this period. In response to the recent rise in violent crime, the anti-gang campaign was initiated. Human rights activists criticize the crackdown and accuse the government of human rights violations and the arrests of innocent persons in its mass raids.
Drag Queen Story Hours New York
Letitia James, New York’s Attorney General, announced this week that she will host a drag queen story time event for children in Manhattan on Sunday. The New York, Queens and Brooklyn public libraries will co-sponsor the event. The announcement comes at a time when some states, such as Tennessee, are trying to crack down sexually charged performances in public.

Honda Recall
The Washington Post reported that Honda has recall nearly half a million vehicles because of concerns about seatbelts not latching properly due to a manufacturing defect. The recalls concern the popular CR-V, Accord, Hybrid, Odyssey, Acura RDX, Insight, and Accord.
Silver Lining in California
All the snow and rain storms that hit California have a silver lining. Daily Wire reporter Mairead Elordi reported:
According to the U.S. drought monitor data, 44% are not in any drought conditions. Only 36% of the state remains in moderate drought, while only 8% are considered to be in severe drought. It is the first time that LA and San Francisco have been classified drought-free in three years. A second major rainstorm is expected for next week.
California Cracks Down On Skittles
California could soon ban Sour Patch Kids and Skittles. This is due to a bill that bans five chemical additives that are linked to cancer and organ damage. Food producers will need to modify their products or stop selling them in America’s largest state.
