Pro-Trump supporters have gathered outside Mar-a-Lago, the former President Donald Trump’s South Florida club, in the midst of rumors that he might be indicted by a Manhattan grand jury. Reports surfacing over the weekend claim that the district attorney’s office is inching closer toward an indictment against Trump for alleged hush money payments made about seven years ago. The former president himself posted on Truth Social on Saturday that he expects to be arrested on Tuesday and called for his supporters to protest.
Although there has been no confirmation of charges being brought against Trump, police have increased safety precautions in New York City as the grand jury finishes their deliberations. Meanwhile, pro-Trump supporters gathered outside Mar-a-Lago with paraphernalia and flags related to the former president and played music on the side of the road to show their support.
