Portland area’s Cracker Barrels close doors, unable to survive pandemic economy

The Portland, Oregon, area’s remaining Cracker Barrels have closed their doors after failing to survive a pandemic-ridden economy.

According to a report, Cracker Barrel informed employees that the closures may take effect right away and announced the closings of three areas, including the last two in the Portland area, on Monday.

According to Cracker Barrel, the locations’ ability to survive was impossible due to the pandemic’s and effects on business and the economy.

The Tennessee-based industry stated in a statement that” as part of standard business practice, we continuously evaluate the performance of our stores, using many criteria to ensure we are meeting our guests’ and our business’s needs.”

With that said, we regret having to close the Beaverton, Tualatin, and Bend regions because we were able to recover from the pandemic’s negative effects on our company. We always take the decision to close a store gently, and just now, our main priority is helping our affected workers get through this change.

The conclusion surprised the workers at the now-closed locations.

According to Jordan Nerski, a worker at the Tualatin area, yesterday was just another typical day at play. Everyone was the same, and I discussed working longer hours and taking spring break with my boss.
