Buzz about Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s (R-VA) interest in diving into the 2024 election scrum is fading after a top adviser joined a group aligned with Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL).

According to numerous reports, Jeff Roe, who co-founded the Democratic political consulting firm Axiom Strategies, has joined Always Before Low, a DeSantis-aligned political action committee that is expected to boost the Florida governor’s potential 2024 presidential campaign.

Democratic hopes that they would ride a red wave in the midterm elections, which did not materialize, were fueled by Axiom Strategies’ assistance in Youngkin’s victory again in 2021 in an intensely blue state. According to the Washington Post, Roe expressed his loyalty to Youngkin and anticipated that Axiom had hardly support one candidate in 2024.

Youngkin stoked rumors that he is harboring political objectives by traveling across the nation in the weeks leading up to the midterm elections and running for Democratic candidates in contested races. Later primary states like Iowa and New Hampshire were among those states.

Roe, who also worked as Sen. Ted Cruz’s( R – TX ) top strategist during his 2016 campaign, previously stated that he thought the 2024 GOP primary would be a two-man race.

Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump are competing in a two-person competition. According to Roe, who spoke to Fox News on Sunday last month, almost 75 % of voters chose between those two. ” A lot of people were discussing a strange battle in the bar.” There just isn’t room for a second, third, or even five person in this race, in my opinion.

Afterwards, he clarified that Youngkin, who has a term limit as chancellor, was never meant to be diminished by those notes.

Youngkin has maintained a strong national investment in conservative circles in addition to traveling through important says. He will be present at the Heritage Foundation’s 50th leader mountain, which will take place from April 20 to 21, in the following month.

According to NBC, Youngkin will also travel to Texas to attend an event hosted by a comedian Democratic donor. His trip is scheduled to coincide with his speech at the national library of former President George W. Bush.

Youngkin has appeared to have downplayed his desires while falling short of ruling out a pass. According to the Washington Post, Youngkin recently appeared disinterested in feeding debate about 2024 during a donor retreat appearance.

Polling has consistently shown that he is far behind DeSantis and former President Donald Trump, falling short of the double-digit mark.
