James Comer defends oversight of Manhattan DA’s Trump probe

House Oversight CommitteeChairman James Comer (R-KY) defended House Republican calls for Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg to testify before the House regarding his inquiry of former President Donald Trump.

Speaking on CNN’s State of the Union, Comer asserted that the federal investigation into Trump allegedly falsifying company records in order to obtain a hush money transaction is not” local” and that it” does not have the right to be pursued in the district attorney ‘ practice.”
