Pompeo underscores need to counter ‘Chinese-Russian effort in Ukraine’

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tied the efforts to undercut Russia’s bloody invasion of Ukraine with the struggle to counter Chinese aggression.

Pompeo agreed that American assistance to Ukraine had depleted the country’s military reserves, but he disagreed with those who claimed that it was putting the United States at greater risk of conflict with China by emphasizing how the conflict in Ukraine is” to linked” to China.

On Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, Pompeo said,” I think it’s crucial that we push back against what is a Chinese-Russian work in Ukraine.” These two have a strong connection. They are not distinct concepts.

Sen. Ron Johnson( R – WI ), who appeared to express skepticism about continued aid to Ukraine, spoke after Pompeo’s remarks. Johnson emphasized how the conflict in Ukraine has depleted some of the U.S. military’s stockpiles in response to a query about concerns about China invading Taiwan in 2024.

Johnson and Maria Bartiromo discussed on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures that” One of the problems is that the army in Ukraine is depleting our munitions of munitions.” Before we begin to pound the war drums all over the world, we must be certain that we can support our own country. The best course of action to combat all of this is to fortify America.

Conservatives have split over the support for Ukraine. According to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, the U.S. has already approved over$ 113 billion in military and humanitarian assistance, including through loans.

” We have used up a few of our supplies. They need to be rebuilt. This is a long time coming due to the inability to revitalize and restore ,” Pompeo agreed. But Maria, we may definitely pull this off. We have the ability to rebuild, regroup, repair, and construct a military that is worthy of the one and only task of deterrence.
