Nashville shooting: Chris Christie slams Biden for cracking joke after school attack
Former New Jersey GOP Gov. Chris Christie slammed President Joe Biden for making a joke after a shooting in Nashville, Tennessee, on Monday. He called the notion that Biden “misunderstood the moment” an “understatement.”
Christie, who criticized the senator for” playing politicians” with the shooting, claimed Biden may have watched the scenes before speaking on Monday at the Women’s Business Summit of the Small Business Administration, where he made light of his love of ice cream.

Christie told Fox News that it would be an understatement to say that he misunderstood the situation.
” The leader is watching, you may think, before he comes down there, the terrible scenes from the hunting and the reactions of family members and friends of people in that education.” It’s not exactly the right place to start, to make coming down, making jokes about being Jill Biden, and looking for chocolate chip ice creams.
He continued,” There is no way to begin talking about this other than to say that for all of us kids, what we dread seeing every day are information about the health and life of our sons.” Therefore, there is absolutely no place to prank in that situation, particularly not from the president of the United States.
Biden made a joke about Jeni’s chocolate chip ice cream, which he is known for enjoying, to kick off his notes at the womens’ mountain. His primary scheduled people speaking event for the day was when the joke was made.
My name is Joe Biden, by the way. I’m Dr. Jill Biden’s man, the latter claimed. I also consume Jeni’s chocolate chip ice creams. I descended because I had heard there was ice creams with chocolate chips. By the way, inside is a kitchen that is completely full. You believe I’m joking, right? I’m neither.
The shooting, which happened at a Christian education and resulted in the deaths of three kids and three adults, was then discussed by the leader. Audrey Hale, 28, has been named as the adult shooter. Biden referred to the shooting as” sick” and said it was” a family’s worst nightmare.” Again he demanded that assault-style arms be outlawed by Congress.
Christie responded quickly to Biden’s call for a moratorium on assault-style arms, claiming that the president was using the incident to further his political agenda.
Christie remarked,” Playing politicians with it is the single worst point you can do on a time like right after making jokes.” That’s however exactly what the president did. He returned to the previous handbook.
Christie asserted that the issue is never a lack of legislation addressing gun violence. He claimed that in order to start addressing the mental health issues that are causing so many mass killings, the nation needed law enforcement to concentrate on school safety.
