Speaker McCarthy On Trump’s Attacks On DeSantis: ‘I Don’t Think Republicans Should Go After One Another’
Former President Donald Trump’s recent attacks on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis were discussed by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy( R – CA ) during an interview on Monday night.
McCarthy’s comments come after Trump repeatedly attacked the ladder while running for office in Waco, Texas, much to the surprise of the masses.
McCarthy was questioned about the threats while appearing on Fox News'” Jesse Watters Primetime” after watching a video of Trump’s notes.
Watters declared,” You are now the Speaker of the House.” ” Just go after the Florida governor like that, we think he’s getting in soon ,” the former president said, leading the Republican primary. How does that make you feel, exactly?
McCarthy retorted,” Look, the way I look at is that the Democrats have brought us much problems.” ” We experience prices. We have a very open borders. We pay more for power from petroleum. The world is moving as army breaks out.
He continued,” I don’t think Republicans should pursue one another.” We must restore this country. We can’t take four more years of Joe Biden, so get in Republicans, politicians, and Democrats as well. We are unable to pay for it.
A brief video of Trump’s march that Mediaite had flagged showed how poorly the former president had been received by the audience, who largely fell silent. The report claimed that the response to Trump’s mocking of DeSantis was” virtually useless heat” in comparison to how the public typically responds to his remarks.
Trump criticized DeSantis’ response to the crisis, claiming that he was” not good” at committing crimes, and mocked him with slurs. According to a Fox News studies from this month, Trump attacks DeSantis four times more frequently than he attacks President Joe Biden.
Trump remarked about DeSantis’ 2018 gubernatorial run, saying,” When a man comes to me with tears in his eyes, he’s had almost nothing in the surveys.” ” He’s at nearly nothing, and he has no money.”
I also stated that I was unable to endorse you. When you’re dying, there’s no way you you, Trump asserted. This give it a shot, Ron, I said. I supported him. He started to resemble a spacecraft. The competition was over in a single time.
At the rally, Trump’s guests, including Rep. Matt Gaetz( R-FL ) and Mike Lindell, also attacked DeSantis.
The best action he can take is to support Donald Trump tomorrow morning, Lindell said, calling DeSantis” Greek horses Ron and Dean.”
DeSantis was also attacked by Trump lawyer Christina Bobb in Waco, who claimed that” if he really does try to enter this competition,[ he ] will come out a bloodied pulp.”
