Suspect Nabbed In Firebombing Of Pro-Life Clinic After Dobbs Leak
A suspect has been arrested in connection with the firebombing of a pro-life clinic in Madison, Wisconsin. The attack happened in May 2022, just days after the leak of a draft Supreme Court decision overturning the landmark Roe v. Wade abortion ruling. Hridindu Sankar Roychowdhury, 29, a resident of Madison, was nabbed in Boston, and faces charges related to the use of incendiary devices.
Law enforcement officials were able to match Roychowdhury’s DNA with that found at the scene of the attack. FBI agents tailed him and obtained a DNA sample from discarded food, which was tested at a forensic lab. A one-way ticket to Guatemala City was found in his possession at the time of his arrest.
The FBI has pledged to pursue those who engage in violence to express their views or disagreement. Roychowdhury faces a minimum of five years and a maximum of 20 years in prison if found guilty.
Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen praised the professionalism and dedication of law enforcement officials and reiterated their commitment to bringing those responsible for violent attacks to justice.
