Trump turns to appeals court to stop Mark Meadows testimony before grand jury

For an investigation into 2020 general election corruption activities, previous President Donald Trump filed an appeal on Tuesday to obstruct grand jury testimony from a number of former White House advisers, including Mark Meadows.

Trump’s bid was rejected earlier this month by U.S. District Court Judge Beryl Howell, whose term in the District of Columbia Court recently came to an end. This was done to prevent efforts by the work of special lawyers Jack Smith to interrogate former Trump presidency leaders. Although sources formerly disclosed the nature of her judgement to a number of news outlets, her March 15 order is currently sealed.
