Trans Activists Slammed For Staging ‘Die-In’ Protest Hours After Trans-Identifying Shooter Killed 6
This week, a group of transgender activists went to the Texas state capitol to stage a “die-in” protest. They arrived late Monday night and stayed until Tuesday morning to protest against a bill that seeks to ban underage individuals from receiving sex-change surgeries and puberty blockers. The transgender activists’ protest aimed to symbolize how many transgender lives would be lost if the state enacts HB 1686.

However, the transgender activists’ protest received harsh criticism on social media, as it took place just hours after a trans-identifying shooter killed three adults and three 9-year-old children at a Christian elementary school in Nashville, Tennessee.
Brandon Morse, deputy managing editor for RedState, criticized the activists, saying: “A trans die-in after a trans person killed six people including three children is the height of absurdity. Maybe if trans people really wanted to stop trans people from dying, they should encourage more access to suicide hotlines.”

Another Twitter user added: “I really want to say this in the nicest way possible: If a church staged a ‘die-in’ after a Christian killed a bunch of people at a gay bar, that would be interpreted as a mockery of the victims. That is what is happening here.”
Conservative radio host Erick Erickson also criticized the protest, saying: “A good reminder again that so much of the trans movement is based in narcissism.”
The Nashville authorities confirmed that the shooter who killed six people at the Covenant School identified as transgender. The Nashville Police Chief John Drake stated that the shooting was a “targeted attack,” and the shooter was a former student who possibly held resentment for having to attend the school. Law enforcement found a manifesto at the shooter’s parent’s house, along with detailed maps of the school that included points of entry. Although the authorities have a theory on the shooter’s motive, they have not shared it yet.
