Donald Trump indicted: At least one felony among charges in hush money case: Report
According to the Associated Press, former President Donald Trump is facing at least one felony charge among multiple charges in a hush money case related to the alleged falsifying of business records. The case involves a payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels.
Donald Trump was indicted on Thursday, and reportedly will have arraignment hearing on Tuesday. As of 7 p.m. on Friday, there were no protests outside the courthouse where the hearing is to take place in New York, according to the Associated Press.
Although Trump is expected to go through the typical legal formalities such as having his mugshot taken and being fingerprinted, the Associated Press reported that he is not expected to be in handcuffs. The charges against Trump remain sealed.
Congressional Republicans and Trump have dismissed the whole case as a political attack and have referred to it as “election interference.”
