Trump Supporters Gather Near Mar-a-Lago to Support Former President After Indictment
On the Southern Boulevard Bridge near Mar-a-Lago, Debbie Macchia and other Trump supporters gathered to show their support for the former president. Amid the bougainvillea-draped pink walls and beautiful Spanish tile rooftops less than 100 yards away, Donald Trump is presumably contemplating strategies for his April 4 indictment in Manhattan. However, the former president only needs to look through his backyard to the Southern Boulevard Bridge, where the Brigade People have sustained a near-constant presence for seven years.
The “Bridge People”
The “Bridge People” have become a hard-core group that has sustained a relationship with Donald Trump throughout his presidency. Macchia said that Trump knows them and will find comfort in their unwavering loyalty during these uncertain times.
Nearly a dozen supporters gathered on the bridge to show their support for Trump while reporters from News Nation, Politico and Reuters were also milling around. If Trump calls, the brigade is ready to line the roadways leading in and out of Palm Beach with his supporters.
The Passionate Supporters of Donald Trump
Chris Xenos, a former “hardcore punk” musician of Margate, Fla., is another vocal supporter of Donald Trump. Xenos credited former President Barack Obama for igniting his fire in politics. Donald Trump’s campaign struck a chord with Xenos because he believed that it was time to run America like a business. He was so invested in Trump that he quit his job to work for the campaign.
Xenos is not a regular at the bridge, only showing up a couple of times each year. Still, he drops everything to let Donald Trump know that he’s got support from ardent supporters like him.
