Trump: Judge Set to Preside Over Case “Hand Picked” by DA Bragg
According to Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, the judge who will preside over his arraignment next week “hates him” and was “hand-picked” by the district attorney, Alvin Bragg and the prosecutors. Currently, there is no charge in the so-called “witch hunt” case, but Trump claims that the judge, Juan Manuel Marchan (who is actually Judge Merchan), an acting State Supreme Court justice since 2009, was picked specifically and has a history of railroading previous clients. Trump was indicted on Thursday by a Manhattan grand jury for allegedly falsifying business records linked to the payment of hush money to adult film star Stormy Daniels after years of scrutiny into his personal, political, and business dealings.
Judge Merchan, who was born in Colombia and immigrated to the United States when he was six, was involved in the recent Trump Organisation case where they were found guilty of defrauding tax authorities over a fifteen year period.
