‘Thor’ Actor Chris Hemsworth May Take Fewer Roles In The Future — Here’s Why
Chris Hemsworth, who gained fame for his role as Thor, shared that he intends to take on fewer roles moving forward due to the outcomes of genetic tests he underwent last year. The tests were done for “Limitless,” a docuseries by National Geographic and Disney+, and revealed that, due to inheriting two copies of the APOE4 gene, Hemsworth is at a higher risk than most people of developing Alzheimer’s disease.
As per an entertainment report published by Page Six, an informant in Hemsworth’s inner circle revealed that once he completes his current projects, including the Hulk Hogan biopic and his next Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance as Thor, he intends to reduce his work tempo and spend more time with his family while his children are still young. In a Vanity Fair interview last November, Hemsworth himself hinted that the same could be possible. He said that exploring the idea of mortality and death inspired him to want to spend more time with his loved ones and in stillness.
At present, Hemsworth doesn’t have a confirmed diagnosis of Alzheimer’s but instead has a higher probability of contracting it in the future due to his genetic predispositions.
