Here Are the 7 Most Dangerous Criminals Released By Wisconsin’s Liberal Supreme Court Candidate

The sentencing record of Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Janet Protasiewicz has been questioned ahead of the election on April 4. Protasiewicz’s conservative opponent, former justice Dan Kelly, has raised concerns over her lenient sentencing of repeat offenders. The outcome of the election will decide the ideological composition of Wisconsin’s top court and could have implications for the 2024 presidential elections. Already, spending for the race has exceeded $40 million, making it the most expensive state judicial election in U.S. history. During Protasiewicz’s time on the Milwaukee Circuit Court, dozens of domestic abusers and child predators were given little or no jail time. Many of them went on to commit new violent crimes. Here are seven of the most concerning cases:

These are the cases where the criminals perpetrated new violent crimes after receiving lenient sentences from the Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate:

  1. Lazarick Spade

Spade was sentenced to just six months in jail after he assaulted his estranged wife in Milwaukee. Shortly after being released from prison, Spade ambushed his ex-wife outside her home and shot her multiple times, causing her to suffer permanent injuries. She believes that Protasiewicz’s lenient sentence was a significant factor in the subsequent attack.

  2. Antwone Eichelberger

Eichelberger was given probation by Protasiewicz after he repeatedly punched and strangled his girlfriend. Three years later, Eichelberger was charged with felony battery after breaking his new girlfriend’s nose.

  3. Elijah Combs

Combs strangled his girlfriend and repeatedly punched her in the face, breaking her nose and tooth. He was sentenced to six months in the House of Corrections. Combs later killed himself after leading the police on a car chase and is suspected of murdering his girlfriend, Aliyah Perez.

  4. Matthew Neumann

Neumann was arrested after he threatened to shoot his wife. Despite the severity of the crime, he was given probation by Protasiewicz. Three years later, Neumann murdered two of his employees and burned their bodies in a firepit on his property. Neumann’s daughter overheard him admitting to killing one of the men over a pack of cigarettes.

  5. Kenneth Wright

Wright was sentenced to probation by Protasiewicz after he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl. Less than a year later, Wright was charged with killing a teenage girl in a drunk driving accident.

  6. Kenneth Blair

Blair was accused of sexually assaulting three children aged 7, 8, and 11, and given probation by Protasiewicz. Three years later, he was charged with assaulting one of the children again although the case was dismissed due to issues with the criminal complaint.
