College Basketball Coach Legend Bobby Knight “In Good Hands” After Release From Hospital
Bobby Knight, the legendary college basketball coach, has been released from the hospital and is currently resting at home, as confirmed by his son.
After an “acute illness,” Coach Knight entered a hospital in Bloomington last Friday. Indiana University, where Knight led the Hoosiers to three national championships, stated that they were praying for their former coach and urged others to do the same.
“The family’s hope is to have him back home soon,” read a statement from the university.
Later in the day, Knight’s son Pat revealed that his father had returned home, and the family thanked the former coach’s supporters for their prayers and well wishes.
Bobby Knight is a basketball legend, with numerous Hall of Fame-worthy accomplishments. For example, he was the head coach of the only undefeated team in college basketball history in 1975. Now 82 years old, Knight and his family have indicated that they appreciate the outpouring of support and messages during this time.
