McCarthy Strengthens U.S.-Taiwan Relations While Biden Allows Red China To Rise

Speaker McCarthy recently met with Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen at the Ronald Reagan Library in California, making him the most senior US official to meet with the leader of Taiwan on US soil in decades. McCarthy’s meeting with the President reinforces Congress’s commitment to strengthening ties with Taiwan and supporting its aim to remain a democratic nation despite increasing Chinese aggression.

During the historic summit, both parties reiterated their stance on working together, with McCarthy affirming unwavering support for Taiwan while Tsai emphasized that “to preserve peace, we must be strong” and “we are stronger when we are together.”

Despite this positive development, tensions between the two countries remain high, with China issuing threats to take “resolute measures” in response to Tsai and McCarthy’s alleged promotion of Taiwanese independence. Taiwan has also reported incidents of People’s Liberation Army helicopters and naval vessels in its waters, as well as China’s attempt to inspect ships traveling through the Taiwan Strait.

Biden Administration’s Policies Weakening America, Helping China

While McCarthy has strengthened ties with Taiwan, the current administration’s policies seem to be allowing China to expand its global influence. The administration’s reckless monetary policies have caused inflation, impacting Americans’ ability to afford basic necessities such as gas and groceries, among others. Its ongoing war against the US fossil fuel industry and poor economic decisions have also led to growing economic pains among Americans.

Moreover, Biden’s infamous Chinese spy balloon was able to collect intelligence from several American military sites, and countries such as Brazil and Malaysia are working with China to reduce their dependence on the US dollar. If foreigners no longer want US dollars for trade, it could lead to hyperinflation and further suffering among the American people, bolstering China’s chances of creating a new world order without US influence.

The US must strengthen its domestic policies to avoid further weakening, thereby allowing China to change the political landscape of the Indo-Pacific to its favor.
