DeSantis: Republicans Have Developed ‘A Culture Of Losing,’ In Florida We Have ‘A Culture Of Winning’
During a speech in Michigan on Thursday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis stressed the importance of Republicans getting rid of their “culture of losing,” which he says the party has been experiencing in recent years. DeSantis made the comments while speaking at the Midland County Republican Party’s annual Dave Camp Spring Breakfast, attended by over 600 supporters.
“In this endeavor, there is no substitute for victory,” DeSantis declared. “And what I see around the country with Republicans is they’ve started to develop a culture of losing.”
The governor used recent instances like last year’s midterm elections and news that a leftist candidate won an important seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court this week to prove the party wasn’t taking electoral victories seriously enough.
DeSantis pointed out that in Florida, there is a “culture of winning” where delivering results is prioritized. He acknowledged that it is not easy to win, but courage, conviction, and leadership come with a certain cost. DeSantis encouraged supporters to continue standing up for the right things and make the necessary sacrifices.
