John Rich, Travis Tritt Join Boycott Of Bud Light After Brand Partners With Dylan Mulvaney
Country music stars John Rich and Travis Tritt are joining a boycott against Bud Light after the company partnered with trans activist Dylan Mulvaney as part of a promotional deal that went viral.
On Wednesday, Rich tweeted, “What beer should my bar [Redneck Riviera] in Nashville replace #BudLight with?” This led fans to suggest alternative beers in the comments.

Meanwhile, Tritt announced on Twitter that he would be removing all Anheuser-Busch products from his tour hospitality rider, stating “I know many other artists who are doing the same.” He also warned fans about purchasing Jack Daniel’s after an ad campaign featuring drag queens resurfaced online.
Kid Rock also shared a video of himself shooting at cases of Bud Light in response to Mulvaney’s announcement of the partnership. These reactions were prompted by Mulvaney’s posting of a video over the weekend showing off a personalized beer can from Bud Light, alongside an ad for the company during the NCAA basketball tournament that included the hashtag “#budlightpartner.”
Bud Light confirmed the partnership in a statement, explaining that they work with influencers to connect with audiences across various demographics and passion points. The company noted that commemorative cans like the one featuring Mulvaney’s face are not for sale to the general public.
The backlash has led to calls for boycotts from various people, from casual beer drinkers to celebrities and bar owners.
