US Lawmakers Invite South Korean President to Address Congress

In an effort to reaffirm the long-standing bond between South Korea and the United States, leaders from both houses of Congress have invited the country’s president’s to speak at a joint Congress meeting.

The leaders wrote in a letter to President Yoon Suk Yeol of the Republic of Korea on April 4 that this year, which marks the 70th anniversary of our ally,” is an especially critical time to reflect on the achievements ofour agreement and to reaffirm our shared commitment to democracy, financial wealth, and regional peace.”
