Kevin Durant wanted to throw his helmet into the circle and decided to stand up for today’s’s recreation despite the ongoing debate over whether the NBA in the 1980s and 1990s was tougher and more vigorous than the group today.
Durant explained that he had recently been watching adventure film from earlier in the day during the most current season of his radio” The ETCs.”
He acknowledges that players only got away with more in the external era before him and that the NBA of today wouldn’t allow them to foul the same way.
Durant remarked,” I go back and watch a lot of that 90s and 80s things, and they play bodily but I really think they got away with many flagrant interceptions.”
Durant is correct. Today, multi-game punishments would be the result of some of the turnovers actors committed 30 years back.
Durant continued,” We play body here as well.” ” There’s’s more room, but guys play physical, and we have strong, athletic guys here as well.” However, there were numerous obvious fouls that went unpunished and left you out of the game, giving the impression that it was a little tougher.
When it comes to the discussion about the various periods of the sport, Durant’s’s perspective is among the most level-headed out there. The NBA has changed; you could say it’s’s” softer ,” but that has more to do with officiating than it does with the players.
