Lindsey Graham: Biden Admin Afghanistan Report ‘A Political Whitewash … To Shift Blame’ For Failures
Sen. Lindsey Graham ( R-SC ) referred to the report on the Afghanistan withdrawal by the Biden administration as” a political whitewash.”
Graham criticized the 12-page summary report that attributed issues to the Trump administration, claiming that it hampered the secession campaigns, when he appeared on” Fox News Sunday.” He claimed that the Biden presidency was deflecting and that America was exposed to terrorist challenges as a result of its feeble pull-out.
According to Graham,” This article is a social whitewash by the Biden administration to change chastise.” According to the state, Biden left Afghanistan because our expedition had been successful. He claims that in order to put an end to the longest war in British history, we eliminated all terrorist threats in Afghanistan.
The point of CENTCOM, General Michael Kurilla, stated last week that the rise of ISIS-K and Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan is so serious that we could be attacked in America in the upcoming six weeks without warning. Therefore, the Biden presidency is lying when it claims there are no jihadists in Afghanistan. A deadly concoction is developing, including the increase of violence, Afghanistan, and a shattered American frontier. If we don’t change our policies, it will only be a matter of time before there is another 9 / 11. In my opinion, Biden’s’s actions in Afghanistan paved the way for another September 11th.

On Thursday, the Biden administration made its statement public, claiming that the former president had supported the removal from office.
According to the state, President Biden thought that ending the longest war in American history and sending American troops place was the best course of action for the nation when he took office. The United States had successfully completed its mission in Afghanistan, he told the British people, after twenty years: to eliminate the jihadists responsible for the September 11 attacks, including Osama bin Laden, and to lessen the danger posed by terrorism to the country.
The state claimed that” President Biden’s’s options for how to perform a withdrawal from Afghanistan were seriously constrained by problems created by his father ,” citing the army drawdowns and direct agreements with the Taliban, including the withdrawal deadline of May 2021.
The state continued,” The cheerful Administration made no plans for how to carry out the final departure or remove Americans and Afghan friends during the transition from the Trump Administration to the Biden Administration.” Even with the agreed-upon complete departure being just over three months away, there were no such plans in place when President Biden took office. The Taliban were therefore in the most powerful military position they had been in since 2001, controlling or contesting almost half of the nation, when President Biden took office on January 20, 2021.

President Biden was facing President Trump’s’s near-term date to withdraw all American troops from Afghanistan by May 2021, or the Taliban would continue its attacks on U.S. and allied forces. At the same time, the United States had just 2,500 troops on the ground — the lowest number of troops in Afghanistan since 2001.
