House Republicans Hold Hearing on Alvin Bragg’s’s” Pro-Crime” Policies in Manhattan
A few weeks after the extraordinary prosecution and indictment of former President Donald Trump in Bragg’s’s area, the House Judiciary Committee announced on April 10 that it would have a realm hearing in New York City for April 17 to explore Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragger.
Victims of Violent Crime in Manhattan is the title of the reading.
Because of what conservatives and the GOP claim are” sweet on crime” policies, Bragg has come under fire. The committee stated that the hearing would” see how Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s’s pro-crime, anti-victim guidelines have led to an increase in violent crime and a dangerous place for New York City individuals.”
The scheduled hearing has been retaliated against by Bragg’s’s work, which branded it a” social ploy.”
According to a statement made by the office’s’s spokesperson on Twitter,” this hearing didn’t engage in specific efforts to increase public health, such as supporting federal gun legislation and shutting down the iron pipelines.”
Shortly after taking office, Bragg sent a memo to his staff explaining that, among other crimes, marijuana misdemeanors, evading public transportation fare, the majority of trespassing violations, resisting arrest, and prostitution will not be prosecuted by the district attorney’s’s office. Additionally, Bragg announced the lowering of some crimes, including pill cases, residential and commercial burglaries, and possession of a non-military weapon.
Republicans have emphasized the discrepancy between Bragg’s’s mercy for these crimes and his trial of Trump for allegedly falsifying company records.
Trump was charged on April 4 with a 34-count prosecution for his alleged involvement in the cost of quiet money to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during the last few days of the 2016 presidential campaign. He entered not guilty pleas. Trump has referred to Bragg’s’s case as a” WITCH HUNT” on his social media platform, Truth Social, and advised the district attorney to” INDICT HIMSELF.”
According to Bragg in a speech made public by his work,” The People of the State of New York allege that Donald J. Trump repeatedly and dishonestly falsified business information in the position to suppress acts that concealed damaging information from the voting public during the 2016 presidential vote.”
” Manhattan is home to the most important vehicle in the nation.”
