Babbling Biden Muses About 2024 Run: I’m ‘The Guy Who’s Pushing Out’ Eggs
Asked about holding future Easter Egg hunts at the White House, President Biden babbled that he would be “pushing” out eggs in the 2024 election.
NBC “Today” weathercaster Al Roker caught up with Biden at the Easter egg hunt at the White House, where he asked Biden if he would be taking part in the Easter egg rolls after 2024.
“I’m planning on at least three or four more Easter egg rolls,” Biden boasted.
“At least three or four?” Roker pressed.
“Maybe five. Maybe six. What the hell,” Biden answered.
“Are you saying that you would be taking part in our upcoming elections?” Roker pressed.
“Well, I’ll either, I’ll either be rolling egg or uh, being the guy, you know, the guy who’s pushing them out,” Biden insisted.
Later, he added, “I’m planning on running now but we’re not prepared to announce it yet.”

One year ago, a White House press official and director of message planning, dressed as the Easter Bunny, stopped Biden from answering questions about Afghanistan at the White House.
Meghan Hays interrupted Biden as Afghan reporter Nazira Karimi asked Biden a question and Biden responded, “Pakistan should not and Afghanistan should be — people should be free …”

“How bad does the White House staff have to think Biden is to calculate that sending in the EASTER BUNNY to interrupt a gaggle is better optics than whatever he was about to say on Afghanistan?” one GOP operative noted.
According to tradition, the Easter Egg Roll, which involves a race on the White House South Lawn in which children push an egg through the grass with a long-handled spoon, was started by Dolly Madison, the wife of America’s fourth president, James Madison, in 1814. The race was moved to the White House lawn in 1878 by President Rutherford Hayes and his wife Lucy.
Easter eggs are supposed to represent the empty tomb from which Jesus resurrected. One explanation of the Easter egg stated, “Just so, on that first Easter morning, Jesus came to life and walked out of the tomb, and left it, as it were, an empty shell. Just so, too, when the Christian dies, the body is left in the grave, an empty shell, but the soul takes wings and flies away to be with God. Thus you see that though an egg seems to be as dead as a stone, yet it really has life in it; and also it is like Christ’s dead body, which was raised to life again.”
