We urge policymakers to focus their attention and efforts on the issues that women athletes have been fighting for decades, such as relative charge, an finish to abuse and mistreatment, odd implementation of Title IX, and a lack of access and equity for girls of color and girls with disabilities, to name just some.” We believe that gender equity in sport is crucial. The email states that” our deepest hope is that transgender and intersex children will never experience the loneliness, isolation, and othering that Henry. R. 734 seeks to codify into law.”
Last week, the Biden administration’s’s proposal to outright ban transgender athletes came under fire. Blanket restrictions would be against Title IX, according to the proposed policy. It would be challenging for schools to forbid, for instance, a transgender child from participating in the sports team for girls.

If the proposed rule is intended to ensure fairness or prevent sports-related injuries, it would allow schools to create policies that forbid trans athletes from competing on more dynamic teams.
Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., introduced the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act in February. The bill seeks an amendment to Title IX “to provide that for purposes of determining compliance with Title IX of such Act in athletics, sex shall be recognized based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth.”
The work had also prohibit” a recipient of Federal financial assistance who operates, partners, or facilitates athletic products or activities to enable a person whose sexuality is male to take part in an athletic program or exercise designated for women or girls ,” according to the card.
