Ex-Pussycat Dolls Singer Claims She Was Pressured Into Abortion: ‘I Was Told To Get Rid Of It’

The former member of the Pussycat Dolls, Kaya Jones, revealed that she was pressured to have an abortion while she was part of the group. Jones stated that she was told to “get rid of it” by an unnamed person who held influence over her. She agreed to the procedure when she was at the “height” of her career and didn’t want to risk losing her job.

Jones also claimed that if other members of the group got pregnant, they would be fired. She shared that she had multiple abortions, and regretted them. During her first abortion, she didn’t think she had done anything wrong. She had already crossed the line, and it had been normalized in her mind. She had additional abortions while she was a member of the Pussycat Dolls. Jones is now cautioning other women that they may regret having an abortion.

She described the pain, anger, and frustration that came with deciding to have an abortion. Nothing could take it away other than God when you lay your burdens at His feet and seek salvation. Jones said that even if she became a mother tomorrow, she would still regret the three children she did not have.

The Pussycat Dolls started as a burlesque troupe in Los Angeles in 1995 and later evolved into a pop music and dance group. Jones was part of the group from 2003 until 2004.
