Singer Kid Rock’s reaction to Bud Light’s collaboration with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney was met with disdain from Rosie O’Donnell.
Recently, Kid Rock’s viral video response to Bud Light’s collaboration with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney showed the singer shooting up cases of beer. Now, Rosie O’Donnell has sprung to defend Mulvaney.
In Mulvaney’s appearance on O’Donnell’s “Onward” podcast, she attacked Kid Rock for his behavior on the show, as per Yahoo News. “Kid Rock had to take an assault weapon and shoot the boxes of beer, proving what? Beer companies have been supportive of the LGBTQIA community for decades. This is not the first time,” said O’Donnell. She added, “Who do you think sponsors pride? Gay people, trans people, we drink beer too, man. Put down your gun, Kid Rock, it’s in bad taste. Especially after what happened at the school in Nashville.”
Mulvaney also voiced her opinion by saying, “I think it comes back to the fact that these people, they don’t understand me and anything that I do or say then somehow gets taken out of context and is used against me.” Mulvaney has a massive online following with 1.8 million Instagram followers and 10.8 million TikTok followers.
Similarly, Howard Stern also criticized Kid Rock for his video response, but some are of the opinion that both O’Donnell and Stern have lost touch with the reality of how average Americans feel about Bud Light’s latest campaign.
