Tech Entrepreneur Arrested For Allegedly Murdering Tech Mogul In San Francisco
Nima Momeni, a 38-year-old tech entrepreneur, was arrested by the San Francisco Police Department on Thursday morning on charges of murdering Bob Lee, the founder of Cash App. Earlier this month, Lee was found with stab wounds and transported to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.
Momeni claimed on LinkedIn that he is the owner of Expand IT, Inc. that is based in San Francisco and has been catering to various client vertical markets including Healthcare, Finance, High Tech/Startup, Technology, Manufacturing, and Service sectors. The suspect and victim were reportedly travelling together in a car registered to the former, and a confrontation ensued, resulting in Lee being stabbed numerous times. Lee was later seen in CCTV footage collapsing after being stabbed and flagging down cars for help, but he was ignored.
The tech industry was saddened by the news of Lee’s passing. Joshua Goldbard, CEO of MobileCoin, called Lee a “dynamo” and “the genuine article” and noted that “he made real” whatever he imagined.
