Following the escape of classified information, House Committee chairman demand responses from Defense Chief Austin.

Following a significant hole of top-secret defense information, the chairman of the House Armed Services and House Intelligence boards are requesting responses from Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

” The world has witnessed the widespread and abrupt leak of regarded national security strategies online.” In a letter to Austin dated April 18 that was obtained by the Epoch Times, House Armed Service Committee Chairman Mike Rogers( R-Ala.) and House Intelligence Committee Chair Michael Turner, both of Ohio, wrote,” The unauthorized disclosures appear extensive.”

Numerous Pentagon information, some of which required the highest security certification to see, have been found to have leaked online in recent weeks.

Jack Teixeira, a member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard who had access to the documents and shared them with an interactive community, was later identified as the leak’s’s origin. Later, members of the community leaked the articles, which spread quickly to other online resources.

However, it is said that the files were on for several weeks before American intelligence officials became aware of the hole.

They continued,” The time frame during which they took place unnoticed by government officials is extended.” How was such a profound leak able to happen with such ease and breadth?” As Americans and our allies inquire.”

The DOJ was quick to launch an investigation into the hole after it was discovered.

While they were” mindful” that the case was the subject of an ongoing legal investigation, Rogers and Turner stated that it was” immediate for the committees in charge of congressional oversight to have immediate access to all pertinent and relevant information necessary to inform the Committees’ determination of whet.”
