Email from Stimulus: In 25 years, direct payments worth$ 500 will be sent to more than 300 communities.
Recipients of a guaranteed income program in California are set to receive their next payment in 25 days.
In Sonoma County, the Pathway to Income Equity pilot program chose 305 of the 6,450 candidates who would receive$ 500 per month. According to the Sonoma County Administrator’s’s Office, candidates had to have a family wages of no more than 185 % above the national poverty level, at least one boy under the age of six, and be affected by the coronavirus pandemic in some way.
Chris Coursey, the president of the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, stated that” these purchases will help families with young children who are frequently struggling under the double burden of high costs of housing and child treatment— usually the two highest family expenses.”
” The knowledge we learn from this pilot program will help direct our efforts in the future to enhance our community’s’s health and welfare.”
The expenses, according to officials, are made on the fourth Wednesday of each month. The next cost for this course may be made on May 17, and the last payment will come in December 2024.
According to the administrator’s’s work, Sonoma County authorities did research how this extra quarterly earnings affects lowering poverty and fostering financial flexibility for families with young children.
