John Stamos Said He Got Olsen Twins Fired From ‘Full House’ When He ‘Couldn’t Deal’ With Constant Crying
Get ready for some behind-the-scenes drama from the set of “Full House”! In a recent episode of the “Good Guys” podcast, actor John Stamos, who played Jesse Katsopolis on the show, revealed that he was responsible for getting Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen fired from the show because he “couldn’t deal” with their crying. Stamos recalled a scene from the very first episode where he and co-star Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone) were trying to change Michelle’s diaper, but the fussy toddler twins kept crying and ruining the scene. Stamos said that producers kept switching the babies and claiming they wouldn’t cry, but he couldn’t handle it and insisted that they be replaced. The twins were replaced by two redheaded kids, but Stamos said they were “terrible” and he eventually convinced producers to bring the Olsens back. Mary-Kate and Ashley went on to become famous child stars and are now owners of multiple fashion brands. Stamos also spoke about getting into arguments with co-star Bob Saget, who played Danny Tanner, but said they eventually learned to compromise.
